A Maasailand Awareness Safari Driver will pick you up from the hotel and depart for Tarangire National Park. The mountain landscape gives way to the arid Acacia & Baobab of the Maasai steppe: this is rich big game country and ripe for exploring. Game drives in Tarangire National Park exploring the sand rivers, woodlands, and amazing baobab with its outstanding birdlife, large herds of elephants, plains game, and predators.

After an early breakfast, we’ll set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive may be long, but the views are spectacular, especially our stop at Ngorongoro Crater rim for an awe-inspiring panorama. As we enter the Serengeti, you will witness the iconic “endless plains” that are home to the Great Migration. Prepare to see millions of wildebeests, countless zebras, and a variety of antelopes, as well as the majestic Big Cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Along the way, we can visit Olduvai Gorge, a fascinating site where early human remains were discovered, making this tour not just memorable but also enriching.

We suggest an early wake-up to embark on a morning game drive and witness a stunning sunrise over the Serengeti—a breathtaking experience. After our game drive, we’ll return to camp for a hearty brunch before heading to Ngorongoro Crater, a true wonder of nature. With its spectacular 2,000-foot-high walls, the crater is a sanctuary for nearly all species of wildlife endemic to East Africa, including the elusive black rhino. You’ll discover its diverse ecosystems, rivers, swamps, and a soda lake thriving with flamingos. Expect to arrive in Ngorongoro in time for a relaxing sundowner that you won’t want to miss.

Rise and shine for an early descent into the crater floor, where you’ll experience incredible wildlife viewing in one of the most stunning locations on the planet. After an exhilarating morning, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the picturesque hippo lake. Following lunch, you’ll have time for a brief game drive before we ascend out of the crater and exit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading back to Arusha. We anticipate returning around 5 PM, but we can adjust our schedule to accommodate any travel preferences.
